In addition to art direction, digital consultancy, virtual reality, 360 degree videos and holographic display are among the innovative services that this independent firm offers.
Your clients belong to the fashion, luxury and retail industries, but also to the food & beverage sector. How are their needs changing as social media and digital evolve?
The greater part of our clients are still facing the demands of the digital world and at the same time they have the necessity to produce a lot of digital content. We are able to set ourselves apart because we have a wide array of skill sets and we’ve found that even the most established companies sometimes don’t have the in-house know-how to produce the sort of digital content that we do.
You have a young team. What is your background?
We are two founders and we studied humanistic studies, and communication. When we started in 2008, we really hit the ground running, working out of a small studio right after graduation. Our background actually helped us a lot in developing our projects; we are both very passionate about cinema and art. At the beginning of our journey as entrepreneurs we used to apply to online contests very frequently, call to action published by big brands – winning those contests helped us a lot in emerging from the jungle and affirming ourselves as young creatives. We worked with TIM for example, and that helped fund and fuel our business.
How do you stay abreast of every innovation that has come out – you specialise in some of the most modern, like Holographic Display, Video 360 and Augmented Reality
It’s the type of technology that is all interconnected. We are all hungry to learn and are always open to face new challenges.
What type of service is most requested among your clients?
It really depends… but I can say that web spots, mini commercials or promotions that can be funneled through Facebook and Instagram are among the most requested projects these days.
Where do you see Mirror over the next few years?
Good question. Very far of course with an amazing portfolio, collaborating with international companies. We want to internalise all our processes – and bring all the web and tech intel in house. Our dream is to become a large-scale digital agency that has an international – not just an Italian scope.
